Omolere, “Child is Reward”
No, “Child of a Philanthropist”
That was my explanation to the whites who taught me
My dad is the ‘Balogun’, he’s wealthy
Has several servants, wives and children
Owns large hectares of land
Blessed all and sundry
People troop into our house in their numbers
Gave food to many
Going to school wasn’t an issue
I was also brilliant and smart
Went abroad to expand my learning horizon
Became a teacher
Truly my passion
Quickly became principal
Married the most outstanding woman
Mother of my children,
Sponsored several children to school aside mine
That’s a bit about me for now
Wonuola’s grandfather
IAMOmolere
Education can be truly free for all…
